Public proof that cannot be faked

Anyone can call themselves an experienced teacher today. Anyone can even produce a polished video with artificial intelligence. These recordings are different. They were published on YouTube years ago, and the platform shows when each one went online. The lesson in Switzerland was filmed in 2007, before YouTube even offered high-definition video and long before artificial intelligence could generate one. Nobody could create these lessons today to look experienced: they are a public record of almost three decades of teaching.

From beginner to trainer of teachers

Mr Q did not grow up speaking English. He learned it as an adult, starting from zero, with the Callan Method itself. That is why he knows from experience where students get stuck and what helps them move forward.

He then completed the Callan School teacher training in England, the first person who was not English to do so, and was personally recommended by Robin Callan, the creator of the method. Since then he has trained the teachers of new Callan Method schools and of CLC Switzerland in Vevey, including native English speakers. Read his story.

Still improving, year after year

These recordings show where it all started, not where it ends. Mr Q has never stopped refining his teaching. Pronunciation correction is more precise than ever, lesson procedures have been continually improved, and in recent years he has taught a growing number of students from Switzerland and other European countries. Today’s lessons are even better than the ones you see in these videos.

A rare combination

Many people speak English well. Far fewer have learned it through the Callan Method, mastered the method as teachers and gone on to train other teachers in it, and fewer still have done so for almost thirty years while still teaching private students themselves.

Mr Q still teaches every lesson personally. Because each student receives his full attention, he only takes on a limited number of students at a time, so places are limited. Ask about availability on WhatsApp.
